Nice tail wind the whole way to the bottom of Revenge, where a tail wind didn’t matter anymore. The pack of 6 or so that typically kills, disappeared up the climb at Revenge, and that was it, they were gone. J-Train, Glen and I, with a few stragglers managed to stay together until Marcy where I finally cracked for good. I passed the “I quit barrier” some where on Sitterly. Bo and I took a different way back since I loathe Cedar Hill. He was good for trading some pulls all the way back to town. I was dead. My last leg home from Canal was a blur. I seemed to have become numb all over by then. You manage to pull resources from places previously unknown. Yeah that- and the wind had died down.
The ice bath felt refreshing and healing after this ride.
This is the first time in months I have ridden more than 2hrs at one time.
Solstice Ride for me=65 miles- 3.5hrs.
I didn't helmet cam any of the Solstice ride, but I do have this little nugget of entertainment from back in May. Sorry if you have family in Groveport. Enjoy.

I guess some of your law enforcement officers are as useless as some of ours around here. But as my friend from Australia would say, "good on ya" for takin the time to file the report. I often wrestle with the same dilema, waste a bunch of my riding time and deal with the cops or let it slide.
I often call the cops after the fact and they usually get pissy with me about waiting so long.
Keep up the fight. I'll do the same.

"NOT ENOUGH TO PRESS CHARGES????!!!!! Wow. That bottle must have just come flying out of the sky from nowhere. That must ALSO be why they PASSED you, pulled off onto a road, WAITED for you to go BACK BY, just so that they could go BACK BY YOU for NO apparent reason at ALL, AND this bottle just 'happens' to come flying over your head at the SAME moment they are GOING BY YOU AGAIN. Not much happening upstairs in the heads of those law officials in the happy town of Madison. Didn't take a brain surgeon to figure that one out. Idiots."
This is the reason I tried to avoid Groveport, when I lived in that area a while back. I had an incident in Pick-town (Groveport's close cousin) a few years ago. Something thrown from a car hit me on the thigh. I see a cop parked on the courner and tell him what happened. While he chases the car, I head to the police station down the street. The cop pulls the car over and asks the dispatcher to ask me what I want to do. I just told him to scare the crap out of the kids in the car. I didn't press charges. I figured it would be my word against their's. I didn't have video to back up my story, but I guess that doesn't matter anyway. Glad you're OK.
